Nationwide · Owner/Builder Assist
We hand you the contacts, the plans, and the playbook a general contractor keeps behind the curtain — so you build your barndominium once and pay for it once.
About Buckwild
Buckwild Barndominiums helps families build their own barndominium anywhere in the country. You hold the reins as the owner/builder; we bring the design work, the material sourcing, the permitting know-how, and the same subcontractor network a general contractor would use — for a flat assist fee instead of a percentage of everything you touch.
That single change routinely puts tens of thousands of dollars back in your pocket, and it goes straight into the parts of the home you actually care about: the kitchen, the shop, the porch.

What a contractor actually does
A general contractor does not pour your slab, frame your walls, or wire your panel — subcontractors do. The GC coordinates them. For that coordination he adds 15–25% on top of every single line item: the concrete, the trusses, the plumbing, the paint, the doorknobs. The crew gets paid once, and then you pay again for the introduction. On a $400,000 barndominium that markup alone can run $60,000–$100,000.
Then adds ~20% to every service you already paid for.
One flat assist fee. You pay each trade once, at their price.
No percentage stacked on materials, labor, or change orders.
The exact trades and suppliers a builder would call — no downgrade.
We stay on the project start to finish so owner/builder never means DIY.
